Lip injection with which product?

The product used ishyaluronic acid. This product is naturally present in the body and helps hydrate the dermis by attracting and retaining water in the cells. But from a certain age onwards, its quantity declines. Stock must therefore be replenished, or even added to, to create volume.

LIP INJECTIONS with WHAT TECHNIQUE?

Several injection techniques are possible. The aesthetic doctor can work either with a needle or with a cannula, which is flexible enough to reshape the contours of the lips.

LIP INJECTIONS: READY TO TAKE THE PLUNGE?

Ok! But don’t be too hasty … The choice of a practitioner is essential to the success of the lip injection, so it’s important to meet with him or her during an initial consultation, to explain your expectations. HOW DOES THE LIP INJECTION SESSION WORK?

Lip injections are performed by a specialized morphologist. The procedure takes an average of 15 to 30 minutes.

After removing make-up and disinfecting the area and its surroundings, the doctor can proceed with the procedure. Two techniques are used: needle or cannula.

To reduce pain,hyaluronic acid for the lips generally contains lidocaine, a local anesthetic. If you are very sensitive, you can apply a numbing cream 15 to 30 minutes before the session, to ensure optimal comfort during the lip injection.

The final result can be appreciated immediately after the session. However, edema can quickly form, making your mouth asymmetrical. In that case, don’t panic! It will reabsorb on its own in the days following your injection. Certain tricks can help limit side effects, such as taking homeopathic arnica granules, applying a cold pack intermittently for 48 hours after the injections, or massaging the area by passing the thumb under the lip while rotating the index finger in a circular motion.

LIP INJECTIONS: MEN ARE GOING FOR IT TOO!

Thin mouths or non-existent lips: men too can benefit from hyaluronic acid injections!

Demand is generally different from that of women. The doctor reshapes the mouth subtly and naturally with a fluid hyaluronic acid, such as Restylane Refyne from Galderma Laboratories.

The treatment can be carried out in 2 stages, to give the patient time to get used to the procedure and to decide whether more volume is required.

TREATMENT FOLLOW-UP

In the short term, in the days that follow, there may be inflammatory edema and the lips may appear more swollen for a short time. In this case, it is customary to apply cold to help resorb the edema. A light, circular massage may also be indicated.

Hematomas may form at injection sites and around the lips. To avoid them, you can anticipate a homeopathic Arnica cure in the days preceding your injection sessions.

In the longer term, the product is completely resorbable between 6 and 12 months, and the lips return to their original appearance.
