The facial peel is a non-surgical aesthetic medicine technique that purifies the skin and restores its radiance by naturally boosting the production of new cells and the synthesis of collagen and elastin.
All our peels come from the Eneomey™ and Dermaceutics™ laboratories, specialists in aesthetic dermatology and anti-aging medicine, which guarantee the highest level of safety and expertise for our patients. These peels are formulated withglycolic acid or beta hydroxy acid (fruit acid).
What are the indications for a facial peel?
They are suitable for all skin types and treat a wide range of imperfections:
- Dull skin and uneven tone
- Young, acne-prone skin
- Skin marked by acne scars
- Wrinkled or wrinkled skin
- Blemished skin (pigment spots and lentigos)
- Folliculitis
- Sagging skin, neck and décolleté
What types of peelings are performed at Epilium & Skin Paris?
There are different types of peel (chemical, laser…) depending on the indications of each patient: treatment of spots, dull complexion, acne, excess seborrhea, etc.
At our Epilium & Skin center, we have selected face and body peels from Eneomey and Dermaceutic laboratories , specialists in aesthetic dermatology.
Light Peelings ranges
Purify Peel, a seborrheic regulator. It improves the appearance of acne-prone skin and reduces folliculitis. Its purifying action deeply cleanses and eliminates blackheads, regulates oily, seborrheic and acne-prone skin, and fades scars.
Réjuv Peel, anti-aging and epidermal stimulator. It acts on the first signs of skin aging. Its in-depth stimulation of fibroblasts boosts collagen and elastin synthesis, helping to reduce wrinkles and fine lines.
Lumilight Peel, to stimulate radiance. For dull, uneven complexions, it evens out and brightens the complexion. Its abrasive action erases brown spots and smoothes out the first wrinkles by homogenizing the cells that produce melanin.
Medium Peel ranges
Méla Peel, indicated for reducing the appearance of pigmentation spots and post-inflammatory pigmentation.
Cosmo Peel 15% or 20%, to prevent skin slackening on the face, neck and décolleté, reduce textural irregularities and beautify smokers’ complexions. Skin is suppler, firmer and features are visibly smoothed.
The composition and intensity of the peel are chosen according to the patient’s indication. The associated personalized protocol will be determined following an examination of your skin by the Epilium & Skin specialist.
How does a peeling treatment work?
In some cases, skin preparation should be carried out at home during the 15 days prior to the peel, to optimize treatment results.
On the day of the session, the skin is first cleansed with a micellar solution and/or glycolic acid cleanser, to remove all residues of make-up, cream and dead skin cells.
The specialist then applies the peel. Depending on the peel range used, application is made with a brush or cotton swab, starting with the T-zone (forehead, nose, top of lips, chin) then the cheeks, while avoiding the eye contour area.
Light peels need to be neutralized as soon as the skin shows a slight erythema, while medium peels should be rinsed 4 to 6 hours after the session, at home.
After the session, some redness may appear, and persist for up to 72 hours. In rare cases, slight desquamation may occur. Eneomey and Dermaceutic peels have been designed to ensure maximum patient comfort, with post-treatment after-effects that do not lead to social isolation. Normal activity can be resumed immediately.
